| Making Lasting Impressions |
Applying transfers is like printing money.
There are two serious events that can stop you
from making money. The first occurs when
everything is in place and your machine stops
working. Each minute of down time is another
lost opportunity to sell a shirt. A lost
opportunity to make ten dollars. The second
problem is even more serious. It happens when
you make a transfer that looks great until it is
washed and your customer returns it because part
of the image is ruined. Each returned product
is potentially a lost customer. Protect your
business and enjoy the confidence that comes
with equipment from HIX. All HIX premier
transfer machines have a lifetime warranty on
the heating element and a five-year warranty on
HIX machined parts. |

| From Start to Finish. |
| Advances in transfer manufactures techniques
and impressive quality have contributed to an
explosion in the imprinted sportswear industry.
Thousands of individuals are earning millions of
dollars helping people express their
personalities through creative designs
transferred on caps, shirts, bags and more. With
millions of dollars of potential profit at risk,
successful business people worldwide have turned
to HIX for dependable, long lasting heat
transfer machines. With HIX manufacturing they
recognize that not all heat transfer machines
are created equal. They understand that one
brand of heat transfer machine is exceptional.
That brand is HIX. |

HIX
Premier Heat Transfer Machines offer a degree of
quality and valve matched by no one else in the
industry. Over 30 years of manufacturing
experience and strict adherence to high quality
standards have made HIX machines the best and
the most popular. HIX cap and shirt presses have
been placed in nearly 100,000 shops all over the
world. HIX Heat Transfer Machines are
recommended b the best manufactures of heat
transfers because they work every day, every
time. HIX Air-operated Heat Transfer Machines
are the easiest to use for correctly applying
hot splits, puff, foil and standard plastisol
transfers. Available in a 16” x 20” or 20” x 25”
platen, they feature state-of-the-art controls
for TIME TEMPERATURE and PRESSURE. These HIX
performers let you produce any type of transfer
with confidence. Air controlled platen pressure
with automatic open and electronic reset timer
help create the perfect bond for all types of
transfers. Air assist closing and automatic
platen release increases shop production and
reduces operator fatigue thus lowering costs by
eliminating mistakes. |
| More Choices |
| HIX offers semi-automatic models with reset
times in both 16”X20” and 15”x15” platens. These
machines automatically release and open without
the need for an air compressor. We also make
manual models 16”X20” and 15”x15” sirt and flat
3 ¾” x 6” sizes. These require the operator to
release the upper platen. These proven
performers come with an audible automatic reset
timer. HIX also offers its BASIX line of Heat
Transfer Machines, cost effective alternatives
for tight budgets. |

| The Industry Standards |
More
than 30,000 HIX cap transfer machines are in use
throughout the world working side by side with
our shirt presses. These reliable machines
include Teflon transfer hold down and automatic
re-set timers. All HIX Heat Transfer Machines
use a strategically placed single “cast in” heat
rod for the industry’s most exact and even heat.
No part of the casting is more than 2” from the
element thereby insuring the quickest heating
and heat recovery. Some manufactures attempt to
use two or more heat rods. We believe this is
fundamentally wrong. Two heat rods in the same
casing must be exactly matched for resistance or
they will heat differently causing one side of
the casting to be hotter or colder than the
other. Heat rod manufacturers can only guarantee
a + or – 5% accuracy on resistance
specifications. This could equal + or – 45 watts
on a two element 1,800 watt (2 x 900) watt
element 16”x20” heat casting. This means a
temperature variance of as much as 20° F. across
the casting surface could result. Actual tests
show up to 27° F. range on a competitive 16”x20”
machine set at 390°F vs. a 3° F. variance for
HIX. All upper heat and lower padded castings
are single pass “fly cut” on a vertical mill
equipped with 21” diameter cutter. This one pass
process ensures that the castings are true and
flat, which is critical consideration with
today’s high-tech transfers. |

Every
heat casting manufactured at HIX is cast in
permanent steel cavity mold using HIX exclusive
aluminum alloy for maximum heat transfer.
Castings are engineered to be thick enough to
provide even heat but light enough to heat up
quickly on startup and to re-heat quickly
transfer after transfer. In order to provide
maximum heat transfer efficiency from the heat
rod element, each rod is “cast in” and sheathed
with copper. All HIX transfer machines have a
lifetime warranty on the heating element. At HIX
we believe that quality and durability are the
most important features a machine can offer. All
of the components we use are the highest
quality, ensuring the machines we sell will
function property for years. Don’t be fooled by
imitations. |
